There is a separate and really booming case these days, which is LinkedIn . It is not a regular job search portal, but a social network focused on professional contacts . It was founded in late 2002 by Reid Hoffman, one of the creators of eBay . According to the specialized portal The Verge , worldwide there are about 270 million users connected, more than a quarter in Europe.

LinkedIn, like Facebook, asks the user to create a personal page with their work history and then allows them to add friends and acquaintances to the profile. The service it offers allows companies to launch job offers and users to ask people they know (their contacts) to introduce them to potential employers. It is a social network that will help you find relevant contacts and facilitate the possibility that companies / headhunters find you. It is an ideal complement for active searches “on the street” and inquiries on web portals.
