Affiliate Disclosure

Short version: Some links on this website earn us a small commission when you click and buy. This never affects what we recommend — we only suggest products we genuinely believe are worth your time and money. Full details below.

Mobi Tech Updates is an independent technology publication. We work hard to create genuinely useful content — honest reviews, practical how-to guides, and thoughtful comparisons that help you make smarter technology decisions. To keep this website running, and to compensate our writers and editors for their work, we participate in affiliate marketing programmes.

This Affiliate Disclosure page explains exactly how affiliate relationships work on our website, which programmes we participate in, and how this affects (and does not affect) the content you read here.

1. What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a performance-based arrangement where a website earns a commission when a reader clicks a special tracked link to a product or service and makes a purchase. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use an affiliate link or go directly to the retailer’s website. We simply earn a small percentage of the sale as a referral fee.

Think of it like a recommendation from a knowledgeable friend who happens to have a referral arrangement with a store. The friend benefits slightly from telling you about the product, but if they are honest, it does not change the quality of their advice.

2. Our Commitment to Editorial Independence

This is the part that matters most: our editorial decisions are never influenced by affiliate commissions.

Here is how we protect the integrity of our content:

• We recommend products and services based on their actual merits — quality, value, reliability, and user experience
• We do not accept payment to include products in ‘best of’ lists — affiliate commissions are based on reader clicks and purchases, not upfront payments for placement
• We include affiliate links to products we would recommend even without a commission
• When a product genuinely is not the best choice, we say so — even if a competitor with a lower commission rating is better
• Negative reviews and comparisons that favour non-affiliate alternatives are published regularly on our site
• Our editorial team and our affiliate partnerships are managed separately

We believe that long-term reader trust is worth far more than short-term commission revenue. If we recommend bad products to chase commissions, you stop trusting us — and rightly so. Our goal is to be the most trustworthy tech publication for our readers, and that goal comes before any financial consideration.

4. How to Identify Affiliate Links

We do our best to make affiliate link disclosure visible and clear:

• Articles containing affiliate links include a disclosure notice near the top of the article
• Where practical, affiliate links may be marked with a small ‘affiliate link’ label
• All ‘best of’ lists and buying guides that include affiliate links carry a prominent disclosure
• This Affiliate Disclosure page is linked from our website footer and from the navigation

If you are ever unsure whether a link is an affiliate link, assume that it may be — and know that clicking it costs you nothing extra while supporting our work.

5. FTC Compliance

This disclosure is made in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). While Mobi Tech Updates is based in India, we receive readers from the United States and take our obligation to disclose material connections seriously regardless of jurisdiction.

6. Sponsored Content vs Affiliate Content

Affiliate content and sponsored content are different things, and we want to be clear about the distinction:

• Affiliate content — editorial content written by our team that may include tracked links. We choose what to include and how to frame it based on our honest assessment.
• Sponsored content — content for which we have received direct payment from a brand to publish. Sponsored posts are always clearly labelled with a ‘Sponsored’ tag and are disclosed within the article itself.

Both types of commercial content follow our editorial standards for accuracy, honesty, and usefulness to readers.

7. No Extra Cost to You

We want to be unambiguously clear: using our affiliate links does not cost you anything extra. You pay exactly the same price whether you click our link or navigate directly to the retailer. In some cases, our affiliate partnerships mean we can negotiate exclusive discounts for our readers — when this happens, we highlight it clearly.

8. Questions About Our Affiliate Relationships

If you ever have a question about whether a specific product recommendation is influenced by an affiliate relationship, or if you want to know whether a particular link is an affiliate link, please do not hesitate to ask. You can reach us at contact@mobitechupdates.com and we will respond honestly and promptly.

Thank you for reading and for supporting Mobi Tech Updates. Your trust matters to us more than any commission.
